Close out the festival with Gina Kamentsky's explosive short about Pinocchio's greatest wish, and the rarely seen Allegro non troppo—a raunchy spoof of Disney's Fantasia.

Pinocchio felt a longing deep within him. Someday, he would become a real girl and live a life beyond the confines of make-believe.
Allegro non troppo
Bruno Bozzetto | Italy | 1977 | 85 min. | Italian
An enterprising Italian filmmaker thinks he's come up with an innovation for the ages: animation set to classical music! In this raunchy, tongue-in-cheek spoof of Disney’s Fantasia, Bruno Bozzetto whips up six musical vignettes with the help of an orchestra of old ladies, a tyrannical conductor, and an animator they keep imprisoned in the basement. Rarely seen and currently unstreamable, Allegro non troppo contains sequences so beautiful and well-regarded in the history of animation, Walt Disney didn’t even sue him.
